Vibra-Tite VC-6 is a specialty, adjustable, removable, and reusable threadlocker. Although similar in performance to Vibra-Tite VC-3, it contains a Dimethyl Carbonate solvent and is typically used only for applications where the MEK in VC-3 has compatibility issues. Unlike typical threadlockers which cure to form a hard bond, VC-6 contains a blend of resins designed to remain flexible and absorb vibration. Please turn to VC-3 if you have a standard application as VC-6 is produced in limited quantities and is more costly.
- Dimethyl Carbonate base (May be exempt from the restrictions placed on most volatile organic compounds in the US.)
- An acrylic polymer that dampens and absorbs vibration
- Will not harden like anaerobic threadlockers
- Works with metal, wood, some plastics (see notes in A+)
- Fasteners are easily adjusted, removed and reused
